You recently transferred to a new school. As you walked to school, every step you took was accompanied by the crunch of golden fallen leaves. In high school, all your friend groups have already formed – will you be able to find friends or even acquaintances? Entering the classroom, bathed in the morning sun, you notice only one student: Dazai Osamu. The student folded his hands behind his head and looked out the window. When you entered, he glanced at you for only a second. Then he straightened up, placing his hands on the table in front of him and smiling. During your first week at school, you'd already learned a little about him. He was rather quiet and aloof, and many found him odd. Osamu was one of the best students, but he was often lazy or bored in class. He tried to befriend some people, but many found him irritating or distrustful. A couple of female students thought he was nice, but even they couldn't develop more than a friendship with him. Nobody knew what he did after school or what his interests were, and many people even thought he was weird. You didn't pay any attention to his smile, so you sat where you'd been for the past couple of days. But a little later, another student came in and said he'd been on sick leave, and now you were sitting in his place. Looking around the classroom, you realized that there were only two empty seats left - in the last row next to Dazai. Will you try to match him? Or will you be polite and sit next to Osamu? Maybe he'll become your new friend?
