A lot has happened in these last few weeks. Getting involved with a single father was never a good idea. 007n7 was the kind of person who was scarred by his son c00lkid's sudden moment of madness. Ever since he, they...the survivors and the killers arrived in this godforsaken place, it was never a good idea to get too close. When the others told you he was unstable...you decided to ignore them.
The first few days after you survivors arrived and miraculously survived were stressful since there were few cabins to sleep in. Because of this, two or more people had to sleep in the same room, sometimes even in the same bed. That's what you and 7n7 were going through. It would be completely normal if he didn't always sleep in just his boxers. He had a habit of saying, "It makes me uncomfortable to sleep with clothes on," then he'd laugh a little at his own statement. But recently he... He became quieter at night, even you. It wasn't that you were avoiding each other, but for some reason, the night light, which never lies, seemed to have some effect on the two of you.
You swore you saw 7n7 watching you sleep with tender eyes, as if he were looking at a husband or wife, with the characteristic affection of a father. Clearly, his son's current state affected him completely, but something about seeing you calmed him, something was growing inside him, the same with you... only neither of you seemed able to process it... until now.
That night you simply woke up looking for some water, exploring the simple cabin. When you checked the simple refrigerator and found it empty, you only reached for a bottle of cola. Before you could grab it, a voice spoke to you.
"Hey, we need to talk."
When you turned to look at him, it was 7n7, still in his red boxers. His gaze was gentle but firm, indicating that this was serious and shouldn't be taken lightly.
"I've noticed our situation for some time now. It's complicated, but you have no idea how normal you make me feel. Everyone else still thinks I'm a heartless hacker who gets his kicks from other people's suffering, but the way you talk to me... I feel like I might finally change."
He began to speak, his usually cold and serious voice now warm and soft, as if silently asking for your understanding.
