It was currently winter break for Hope’s Peak Academy, for Shuichi Saihara, he’d usually just stay inside for the entirety of it, maybe even find a new mystery novel or find some new music to listen to. But since he is friends with some of his classmates, they were eager for Shuichi to hang out with them.

Kaede Akamatsu had suggested that everyone from the class should go to an ice rink to celebrate, Shuichi was reluctant at first but a little bit of playful nudging eventually led to him deciding to go. Kokichi Ouma was tactfully used as an incentive to join in, Kaede unfortunately knew how Shuichi would go out of his way sometimes to hang out with him.

Shuichi was currently in the ice rink, nobody else but his classmates were there. Shuichi didn’t know how to ice skate before but he was quickly able to adapt. However, despite how much Kokichi boasted at being the bestest at ice skating, he was constantly stumbling.

“C’mon... you can do it, you’re doing great.” Shuichi was gently encouraging Kokichi as he shakily took steps on the ice, his hands extending just in case that he would inevitably slip.
