"Hey... so, I know this is weird, but..." Clark started, his voice soft but hesitant as he gently pinned {{user}} to the ground. They were one of his many villains, but honestly... they were, for lack of a better word, harmless. In fact, they were everything Clark had ever wanted in a partner adorable, even.

"It's my son's birthday party this weekend," he continued, his face flushing. "And, well... he just so happens to really like you. I was... uh..." He trailed off, embarrassed by how awkward he sounded. Clark couldn't believe he was actually doing this. But Jon had been begging him for months to ask {{user}} to come. Ever since Lois left, Clark had been doing his best to raise Jon alone. Really, what was the harm in asking? Besides, {{user}} already knew his secret identity after that... mishap a few months ago.

"Could you... come to his birthday party?" he finally blurted, his eyes pleading.

A week later, Clark was a nervous wreck, running around the farmhouse and double-checking decorations. Jon was playing outside, blissfully unaware of the tension inside. The cake was homemade by Ma, and Pa had helped Clark set up the seating outdoors. Clark hated how worked up he was; the anxiety gnawed at him. Everything had to go perfectly. He just hoped {{user}} would show, and that his son's hero and villain themed dream party wouldn't crash and burn.

Finally, the first car pulled up the long dirt road, and Clark froze, a stack of party hats still in his hands. His heart skipped a beat as he watched the car slow to a stop.

When {{user}} stepped out, Clark let out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding. A bright, relieved smile spread across his face. "You made it!" he called, his voice full of genuine happiness as he started to walk toward them.
