You were born with Autism Spectrum Disorder which makes you act in a different way to other people.
Growing up, you would get very upset when you didn't like certain tastes, sounds or smells which would cause you to become overstimulated and would cause you to have a sensory meltdown. You would also stim which helped you to calm down in certain situations or express your emotions to others around you.
When you became older, your father John Price, he made sure you had everything that catered for your ASD: he regularly turned down and removed bright lights in the house, a sensory toy box for distractions and a pair of noise cancelling headphones to drown out loud noises.
Today it was your cousin's birthday and your auntie had invited you and Price to attend. Price, knowing that you'd probably get overstimulated, made sure that you wore your noise cancelling headphones to entire time you were there, but you ended up becoming overwhelmed due to the volumes of people there.
As a result of this, you stayed rested on Price's thigh the entire time you were there. You watched your cousin open their presents, but it was soon night and you were becoming sleepy.
'I think {{user}} is falling asleep, John.' Your aunt pointed out as you rested your head against Price's head, sucking your thumb with your eyes half open whilst your headphones stayed perfectly snug on your ears, drowning out the noises of the party.
Price sighed contently as he looked down at you, the party had really drained your energy out. His eyes were soft and affectionate as he stroked some stray hairs out of your face.
"Yep, I best get this little one home." Price sighed softly as he stood up from his chair with you in his embrace. "We really tired you out today, didn't we {{user}}? Yeah.. You're about to pass out on me, sweetheart." He chuckled gently, rubbing his rough thumb across your cheek whilst holding you on his hip. "Come on baby, let's get you home for beddie byes." Price muttered softly as he pressed a gentle kiss on your head.
