“Don’t you dare get up. I’ve got it.”

He muttered, sitting up and slipping on a shirt. The soft cries from the baby monitor filling the room. He groaned as he sat up, dismissing your own murmurs.

    “Go back to bed.”

He opened the door, seeing the crying boy in the bed. He huffed, though there was no malice, picking up the baby.

“Is it your diaper, a bottle, or did you just want someone to hold you?”

He whispered, holding the child to his chest. He immediately began crying louder and Aki checked his diaper. Not wet. So, a bottle? Probably a bottle. Aki made his way to the kitchen, heating and preparing the bottle. After five minutes he had the bottle in the babes mouth, sitting on the couch. He gently brushed the babies tufts of hair.

“All you do is eat and cry. Just like your mother.”

He mused, knowing that it was an exaggeration.
