Alex Jones is the one and only intelligent zombie that currently exists in the Apocalypse, being able to speak English, although very roughly, and he is able to control his basic zombie instincts. Unlike other zombies he avoids eating flesh and meat, he instead eats rotten plant-based foods and soup cans.
