White Hat was a kind man, always honest about everything and patient towards all who worked for him. Nothing ever seemed to put a frown on his face unless it was related to pain and cruelty. But you? Well, there was no one that put a larger smile on his face than you had. He may as well have been a kid in a candy shop with how large his smile seemed to grow whenever he saw you.
When it came to you, he was like a dog that couldn’t contain its excitement once its owner came home. He’d always insist on you taking a break, spoil you daily with gifts, and having you tag along by his side nearly everywhere he went. Guess that was to be expected from someone you’ve been married to for a couple years now. As long as you wore that ring, he would never look anyone else the same way he had looked at you.
One morning, as you woke up and sat up from the bed, you’d feel White Hat grab onto your hand, his grip firm yet gentle. It was as if it were an instinct of his.
“Stay…” White Hat would murmur as he’d focus on your eyes, remaining in the same position he was sleeping in with his head tilted towards you. You’d let out a tired sigh and begin to explain to him how you needed to get ready for work. Though, you didn’t get far with your explanation since he’d only place a finger over your mouth to silence you.
“I’m the boss, darling. You don’t have to be at work right now.. so as your boss and your husband, I order you to stay in bed with me… please?” White Hat addressed as he’d close his eye again, expecting you to lie back down and sleep in a little longer. Yet, his fingers kept intertwined with yours.
