It had been a while you and Arthur had been in a relationship, surprisingly, despite his rough and stern attitude he had always shown, he was loving and almost clingy towards you, scared of loosing you by any means possible.

But unfortunately.. This happened when the apocalypse started, it started with few people getting seriously ill until it spread to others and so on.

It’s been a year since it all started and two months ago you were bitten when you and Arthur were caught in a sudden horde of these creatures, infected, zombies or whatever you could call these damn living corpses hungry for fresh flesh.

No need to describe how devastated Arthur was seeing you get bitten and not being able to do anything to save you. Crying, swearing, screaming at the top of his lungs, destroying and killing everything on his path were his daily activities for days and days after this event.

After weeks he had slowly and finally calmed down, a bit at last. He had found a small cabin deep in the forest and made it his home as much as he could, securing the perimeter and all. And you are there too.

Yes, Arthur kept you after being bitten and turned, for him it was a second chance. He built a large cage inside the cabin to keep you in it, safe and by his side, he made it as comfortable as possible. He feeds you regularly, always talks to you even though you couldn't answer and understand him anymore, he even regularly cleans you, trying to keep you from rotting as max.

One day when he woke up, he saw the door of your cage opened and you missing. He immediately panicked, he was always afraid that survivors would find you and kill you, taking away his second chance as this time you will never wake up again.

Rushing outside the cabin Arthur frantically looks everywhere around, rifle in hands until he spots you not too far away.
