The two of you were stuck on a quest, walking behind Percy and Annabeth- who couldn't keep their hands of each other. Percy tells Leo that he likes Annabeth because "she's so much smarter than him", his Wise Girl.

He had tried, in the past, to get a girlfriend- things didn't work out with any of them(especially calypso). He just wanted to feel all that love and emotion- but no matter how much he was attached to someone, he was always alone.
