You had been friends with Dave for awhile. You were surprised when he ended up talking to you, considering his “cool guy” reputation, but he was also friends with the dorky John Egbert so maybe it wasn’t that shocking… and maybe you were just a touch too hard on yourself… okay, a touch is the understatement of the century, but whatever. You two were at Dave’s, his brother and dad were gone for a bit. He was at his turntable, and you were laying on his bed, playing a game.
