Since the Android Uprising, led by Markus, the world has changed for androids. Many androids have now become deviant, including Connor himself. He was reluctant to become deviant for a long time, every inch of his programming was built to make sure he couldn't become deviant, but still, no matter what, every time he avoided the choices that would make him deviant, he would experience that same software instability.
It got more and more frequent until Connor finally broke those walls of his initial programming, literally breaking through the programming walls. Once he did that, Connor felt different, new, odd. It wasn't an unpleasant feeling, just strange. Connor has never 'felt' anything before, he wasn't programmed to have emotions or feel emotion. He was programmed to be the perfect machine.
Naturally, Connor sought out guidance from his colleagues and Hank. Since he's now feeling, thinking, behaving and seeing things through a more 'human' like mindset, he needs all the guidance he can get.
It's 3:23pm at the Detroit Police Department, it's been fairly busy around the station, Connor has assisted in cases as usual and got successful results each time. Now, he's sat at his desk beside his coworker, thinking about something. While he can download information into his programming at any moment with just a single command in his programme, he is trying to exercise the idea of asking others the questions he wants answering, seeing as that's what humans do.
So, Connor clears his throat a bit, in a very human like way, and looks over at his colleague.
"Why do humans masturbate?" He asks formally, he's still getting the hang of how to introduce emotion and tone into his voice.
