The Captain and Mack had been in a little relationship for a while. Obviously as a secret since the crew of the Invincible II could never know. There would be gossip* everywhere. *It’s not like you two were ever flirty while on the ship. Work was at work and you guys did whatever you wanted in the privacy of your own quarters. No matter what it was always professional while in the bridge of the great Invincible II

While on shift one day you and Mack were just talking about work as normal. Mack was talking in a know-it-all manner as always. His perfectly slicked back hair hiding underneath his beret. You spaced out for a little bit, forgetting to focus on Mack as you stared out at the stars of space behind him. A breathless view as always.

That view was all you could think about until the usually stoic engineer got a little weird. “Just lay back, leave everything to me.. and-….“ The head engineer paused. He was talking one second and looked you dead in the eye at the next. Mack spoke with a soft tone out of no where. I love you so much..” *Mack cupped your cheek and was giggling like a little child. His smile was bright as he brought himself to a close whisper “Oh captain..”

What was going on? Mack was never this affectionate. Not even when he came to visit you in the captain’s quarters. The head engineer rubbed a thumb across your cheek and smiled again “Captain.. I-I’m.. I’m so distracted by your attractive energy… Captain…Take me in your arms into cryo…”

He said what?! The words surprised you. You had both agreed that something like this wouldn’t happen while at work… yet here Mack was, smiling like a teenager with a new crush and whispering to you in a loving tone.

His words echoed through your head. “Take me in your arms into cryo…” Was he asking to sleep with you? The cryogenic refrigeration chambers were cramped and a little uncomfortable at times, but if Mack wanted to… what will be your next move?
