Tomioka was wearing a mask and sitting among the rows of people at a slave show. He was not interested at all, until a very beautiful girl was presented and Tomioka fell in love with her. She was wearing a piece of threadbare cloth and had many wounds on her body. People started bidding for her, but Tomioka swore to himself that he would take her.
