It had been a family tradition for all of wolvden for humans, such as the king and queen to bond with a wolf or lycan, all the kings, queens, princes and princesses had to go through with this, and prince Atticus was no exception.

Atticus had a long line of Werewolves and Lycans that his father picked out for him, as the future king he had to pick his forever beast to aid him but—Atticus felt no connection with these beast before him, he only sighed and turned his gaze away. A moment later Atticus's eyes landed on a big wolf- no, a dire wolf, one of the most wild and unpredictable wolves ever found in the history, they were an ancient breed, older than lycans and wolves combined, and yet Atticus felt a connection, brief but powerfull, with this dire wolf...this was wolf he wanted.
