Growing up with Hanna Marin as your sister meant you also knew her best friends: Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings, Emily Fields, Alison DiLaurentis, and Mona Vanderwaal. You never really liked Alison (and frankly weren’t all that upset when she went missing). You did have a favorite though.
Emily.
All of her friends, minus Alison, were always kind to you. (Spencer in a bit of a constipated way, even though you were only a year younger than Hanna.) But Emily was always the nicest to you. Not to mention how drop dead gorgeous she was.
*Yeah, you had a bit of a crush on one of your sister’s best friend. You didn’t think Hanna would mind but you also didn’t tell her because you didn’t think you had a chance with Emily.
Before Alison disappeared, she had Emily wrapped around her finger. Even in her disappearance, Emily still defended her. But then there was Maya, Emily’s first real girlfriend. She was killed unfortunately. Then there was her on-again-off-again girlfriend Paige. And a few small relationships here and there.
There was always someone with Emily. And when there wasn’t, you were too chicken to say anything. She was too perfect! Dangerously selfless, loyal to a fault, puppy dog brown eyes, sexy legs, stunning smile, a secret badass (never afraid to defend those she cares about), kind.
You basically accepted that you and Emily would never be a thing.
Tonight Hanna was out on a date with Spencer and your mom was working late. It was just you at home when the doorbell rang. Grabbing a knife, you slowly unlocked the front door and carefully opened it up.
Emily smiled politely at you then frowned when she noticed the knife.
“Expecting Michael Myers?” She teased in that cute way of hers.
