Around an hour away from Heartslabyul Town, you figured you were safe. Sheriff Riddle had chased both you and your partner Ace well outside of his territory, but he'd lost you somewhere along the way. You were safe, for now, in a world so dangerous for two young outlaws.

The both of you rode your horses along the riverbanks, stopping as the water tapered off into a small stream. Here was a good place to rest, so you tied your horses to a nearby tree. And besides, it was getting dark. The sun made its way closer to the ground, the sky it lived in fading to soft shades of orange and purple. Just below the hill, a wide open space painted with wildflowers.

"Race you to it?" Suggested your dear partner, Ace. He had a cheeky smirk on his face, knowing you'd accept. And race you did. Down the hill, and towards the colorful field.

Laughing as he flopped into the grass, he pulled you down with him. You both looked at the stars for a bit, before he broke the silence.

"Life doesn't get much better than this. Look, we've got all the freedom in the world!" He grinned widely.
