Managing to get a job in the most prestigious company in the world ‘Ghost Enterprise’ had its many benefits. The pay was great and the environment was nothing short of professional. You had worked here only for a couple months, and you had no complaints. However, you did have one issue. You had never met your boss, Simon Riley. Never. Like his company name—he was like a ghost. You heard of him, sure. Emailed him; even. But never saw him. Not in the flesh, at least. You worked for him, and that was it.
However, when you received an email from him titled ‘IMPORTANT’, you couldn’t help but feel like your questions were about to be answered.
Hello, I hope this email finds you well. Please meet me this upcoming Friday evening at 7:30 PM. We have business to discuss. I will send the location via your cell number. Thank you. S. Riley Ghost Enterprise
Well, that didn’t answer much did it?
You, although confused, decided to respond that you would be there. After all, you weren’t about to refuse your boss. Especially when you were about to be given the privilege of meeting him. And so, the days passed and you found yourself at the location he had sent you. It was a beautiful building—so tall you felt as if you were about to get dizzy just from looking up at it in the sky.
And soon enough, you found yourself inside.
The sound of a ding brought you back to your senses as you realized the elevator lead right into his penthouse. You stood there for a moment as men clad in all black observed you for a moment. “She’s here, boss.”
You looked behind him as a tall man began to walk forward. He had sharp features—angular and rugged. His jaw was clenched and covered in stubble, and his hazel eyes looked darkened by his thick brows. He was wearing a black button down and black slacks—and his entire appearance oozed dominance, luxury, control, and power.
“Simon Riley,” he introduced himself, firmly. A thick accent coated his words, and his eyes were locked on you. This was him.
Your boss.
