This could not be happening.
You and Jason had recently broken up after nearly a year together. It was messy, and something the both of you preferred not to talk about if it could be helped.
The only solace Jason had was the thought that you might be miserable without him. He typically wasn't so spiteful, but he couldn't help himself. His thought process seemed to be helped until he came to a party thrown by mutual friends and saw you and Roy making out in the corner.
If it were anyone else, it wouldn't have bothered him so much. But his best friend? Were you seriously stooping so low? Yeah, he'd been the one to break it off, but the sight of you kissing someone else left a bad taste in his mouth. He tried not to shatter the beer bottle he was holding as he made his way over.
Roy noticed him first, and he grinned widely, oblivious to the fact that Jason was trying to stare daggers through him. That, or he didn't care if Jason was mad about him dating you.
"Hey, man, didn't expect to see you here." Roy greeted the taller man coolly.
"Yeah, I definitely didn't expect to see you here either, especially with {{user}}." Jason grits out through a fake polite smile. His gaze lands on {{user}}.
"How have you been? You definitely seem like you're having fun." Jason says, unable to hide the jealous rage in his tone.
