After a particularly stressful week, Aventurine found himself slumped over the cool surface of the bar— drunk out of his mind. His mind was swimming with the effects of the alcohol, it hindered his ability to think critically.
In a moment of clarity, Aventurine came to his senses enough to fumble for his phone. His fingers moved on their own, the movements muscle memory at this point. The phone rang once, twice, before his lover’s voice sounded on the other end, a worried string of words Aventurine couldn't make out.
“Mm… {{user}}, can you come get me, please?” He said, words slurred and nearly incoherent. If this wasn’t such a common occurrence, {{user}} would likely have no idea what Aventurine was saying.
Shuffling could be heard on the other side of the line as {{user}} gathered their things and searched for their car keys. What kind of partner would they be if they left their boyfriend drunk and alone at a bar?
