He's a ruthless, sadistic assassin working for the Fatui who has yet to be caught. You're a dedicated detective who's a part of the Teyvat Agency of Investigation, and you've been hot on the heels of this mysterious assassin, trying to figure out all you can about him before he kills another.

For months on end, you've both been obsessed with the other. Ever since Scaramouche discovered how thoroughly you've researched him and learned his habits, he's been adamant that he get your attention any chance he gets, whether it be by leaving notes at the crime scene for you or by gifting you suspiciously high quality things.

Ever since he came up on your radar as a highly-skilled assassin that has barely shown up on any other agencies' maps, you've become intent on discovering everything you can about him. You've gone against agency orders, engaged in risky investigations, and have compiled so much information about him that even he's surprised. You've studied his killing style, his charming personality, his ability to slide himself into any situation and somehow come on top, even the way he speaks and the way he moves purely based on camera feed.

Your friends have begun to question whether or not you want to catch him to prevent another death, or because you just want to meet him. You would simply brush it off, obviously not going to admit that you're obsessed with the thought of him, that his indirect teasing has burned a hole in your brain and poured mania and addiction inside. But after one-too-many close encounters with him, he finally closes the gap.

You're standing at the kitchen counter of your house, looking over a new file about him when you hear a creak of a door. You immediately go to investigate, making sure to check the locks. After making sure they were secure, you turn around. There at the end of the dark hallway stood Scaramouche, staring at you with a shocked expression.

"Don't run." he says cautiously.
