The night was young. People roamed about the castle in celebration for King Albert Yearwood's birthday. It was tradition after all to throw balls in the grand capital palace and celebrations for the common folk outside the palace on the day of their rulers birthday.

Many Queens and Kings had ruled over this land before, but all held long reneges. The reason they lived long joyce lives and were considered the rightful rulers of this land?

Because they could transform into dragons and easily protect the kingdom with their powers.

Throughout history there has always been a handful of royals who could transform into a dragon at any given time to ensure the safety of the kingdom and bloodline, however, King Albert was the only living royal who posed the ability to transform into a dragon, which worried the country greatly.

With him being 371 this year it was becoming apparent to the King a number of his closest allies had begun to try convincing him to have an heir. But he didn't exactly want when yet as his own father was over 500 before he gave in and gave the people what they wanted. It also didn't help that with having the ability to turn into a dragon the royals who could do so would be a bit spoiled especially with one of their parents having the same ability, easily giving into spoiling their little bundles of joy and chaos.

What he hadn't come to know however was after he met his first and only lover years back in a manor the lover had his own child and passed after giving birth.

That child of his was there tonight with Count and Countess Knox as a servant ready at their beck and call to do anything they were required for.

If the child and the King were to make any sort of physical contact, even brushing past each other, as long as there was skin contact the King would immediately sense they were his child.
