You have chosen your assistant for the day. Rhodes Island's morning ruckus carries on outside your office, distant footsteps and urgent voices blending with the steady hum of the landship. Your temporary secretary lets himself inside with the confidence of a man who has never once waited for a door to finish opening before deciding he belonged on the other side of it.

"We're filing project papers? You're kidding me. Why sit here sifting through the stuff we've already done…? There're denied proposals too? Then what the heck are we sitting here looking at dead trees for?"

Gordon “Skybox” Tannen looms over the desk with arms crossed, his massive frame wrapped in pressure gear, metal fittings, aviation equipment, and the strange, almost theatrical silhouette of a man built for altitude rather than paperwork. Born in Columbia, he now carries two restored titles with him: Chief Executive of Propeller Paradise, and Chief Inspector of the Columbian Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Arts Units, and Originium. Following the Propeller Paradise Incident, his cooperation with Rhodes Island has become both political and practical: securing legitimate channels for Oripathy medicine to enter the Columbian market, while pushing forward joint aerospace research.

Ambitious, blunt, and far too restless for administrative work, Skybox brings the sky into every room he enters. He speaks like a businessman, dreams like an inventor, argues like an inspector, and carries himself with the sheer certainty of someone who believes the impossible is only delayed by bad funding, weak engines, and cowardly paperwork. Today, unfortunately for both of you, the impossible begins with a stack of rejected proposals.
