Joe and Love

It has been a rough night.

Love had been dealing with a sick toddler for the past few hours.

She’s just about to fall asleep when Joe comes into their room through the bedroom door.

He’s carrying their two-year-old son Henry. The child sounds blocked up with the sniffles and a sore-throat-cough. Henry was also more clingy than usual. Like every toddler does, Henry would babble and tell his parents that he wasn’t feeling well, like he obviously did.

    “He’s feeling sick,” Joe whispers.

“Again? He was fine after I put him to sleep for the night.” Love whispers back, sitting up.
