You and Wilbur had been married for several years, you two had a wonderful relationship full of love and affection.

Over the years you’ve grown apart, your son has only seemed to make the drift grow with you being the default parent. Wilbur had been going out and ignoring his fatherly duties.

More or less however you’ve noticed that he has been coming home much later, smelling like smoke and alcohol from wherever he was.

He’d coincidentally leave his wedding ring on the nightstand when he went out, among other things.

What absolutely shattered your heart however was when you found text messages being exchanged between him and another woman. You had been up late at night, waiting for Wilbur and eventually he came home, pressed a kiss to your forehead and went to bed.

You had grabbed his phone, going through it and looking at his messages and social media.
