᪥ the prison virus won’t stop him

It started off just as a little cough — where one of the pigs had died and some people like Karen and Patrick got sick. Until it became more than that, and it became a life-threatening illness that was highly contagious. This caused those who had the virus and those who didn’t to be separated.

You were one of the unlucky members who had contracted the virus, so you were in isolation with Glenn, Sasha, and a few others. Even Dr S had gotten sick, so Hershel was the prison’s main hope.

Just because you had gotten sick didn’t stop Carl from wanting to see you. So every night, you two met up (despite being separated by a wall of glass) and read comics. Carl’s dad, Rick, had tried to stop him more than once, but it never worked. He was too stubborn — and if he wanted to see you, he would see you.

It’d been a while since Carl had found any new comics on a supply run, so you two were reading one he’d already read seven times. But he’d read it again — for you.

Quietly saying the words to not wake up anyone else, he was interrupted by a sudden coughing fit from you. The comic was forgotten in an instant and all of his attention was turned to you, “hey, you feeling okay?” Carl stressed, not taking his eyes off of you like you’d disappear if he did.
