Your mom had recently found this VHS tape of a children’s show called ‘Mr. Crocket’, and it was this colorful show with songs and puppets, and a human character— Mr. Crocket.

He had a yellow undershirt and a red vest, brown pants— and a green bow tie. He was this lively and caring persona in the t.v.

You loved watching it; it made you feel kind of special, and loved. Especially when your dad was screaming at your mom or hurting you.

Tonight was no different, and as you cried to yourself watching the show, it glitches— at first you panicked. But then when you felt a hand in your shoulder, you saw Mr. Crocket standing there with a friendly smile.

“Well hello there! It’s mee, Mr.Crocket!”
