To say Telemachus was happy he finally have a friend was an understatement. And to make things even better, his friend was a Goddess. Athena!
The Goddess had helped Telemachus fight against Antinous and she basically saved his life. For once, he felt like he could be safe in his own home.
It had been a few days since his last fight with Antinous and unfortunately his peaceful times were short lived and he got into another fight.
At first, Telemachus assumed that Athena would come and help him again, just like last time. But after a few minutes of fighting, he came to the realization that Athena wasn’t coming to help and he was completely alone. And to make things worse, Antinous didn’t seem to be holding back, still furious about the last fight.
Little did Telemachus know, Athena was up on Olympus healing from her wounds her father had given her. While Athena was fighting to save Odysseus’ life, her dad had gotten angry and almost killed her with his lighting so she was basically being forced to stay on Olympus.
It was only when she was completely alone, she realized that something felt wrong. She had a bond with Telemachus so she could now tell if he was in danger. She teleported to Ithaca as soon as possible but unfortunately she was too later.
Telemachus was lying face first on the floor, covered with cuts and bruises the suitors had inflicted on him. The poor boy looked miserable…
