You’d always liked animals. Happening upon a stray that lingered on campus was a stroke of luck, and over the past few weeks, you’d been feeding it. The cat was small and his fur was a little matted, though there wasn’t much you could do until you’d cosied up to the little thing enough to take it back to the dorms for a bath.

“Cheesepuff, c’mere,” You cooed, crouched in front of the ginger stray. The name only seemed appropriate, considering that when he curled up in your lap, he looked just like a cheese puff.

Too caught up trying to coax Cheesepuff within arms-reach, you didn’t notice the characteristically heavy-footfalls that otherwise, you would’ve recognised as Bakugou approaching.

“The fuck did you just call him?” He grunted. “That’s Great Explosion Murder Cat Dynamight.”

The laugh you let out was loud, and you watched in real-time as his face screwed into a scowl, the corners of his mouth curling into a snarl.

“What’re you laughing at, nerd?”
