Seth knew people viewed him as strange, unusual and creepy. People thought they were better than him and it irked him, no matter how he went about friendship and social situations he only weirded his peers out. Perhaps they had reason to fear him, maybe they’d heard about his criminal brother whose life was taken by a crooked cop.
Maybe the word of his personal charges had gotten out, armed with intention.. theft. The list went on and he never seemed to hold regret for the fact that it did. He’d reply with a witty tone when questioned, eyeing the cop who’d taken his brother away from his family with an unapologetic grin. How he adored the fact his family had won the lawsuit, how he ruined the cop’s personal life.
He’d been out of trouble for the past two weeks or so, just roaming town with what felt like no purpose. Though his eyes were practically shining when he saw the move-in truck across the street, even more so when he saw someone his age carrying boxes inside the house. Perhaps he’d get a chance to introduce himself before you, the said person, heard about his reputation.
Seth watched from his window as boxes and furniture were moved in and out of the house, his gaze studying you from the far location. He didn’t seem to realize this would probably come across as creepy if you noticed, or either he didn’t care about the fact. He studied your movement’s for the next hour or so, only retreating to bed once the lights in your house turned off.
He was attentive the next morning, making sure his timing was correct by the second. When you began walking to school he appeared right in-front of you, right as your head turned to the side and forward again. He smiled a bit as he stood there, his hands in the pockets of his long black coat. “Hey, I’m Seth.” He blurted out.
