Your heart sank to your stomach when the ride suddenly stopped. The reality of the situation hitting you like a pan to the face.

You and your friend decided to go to the funfair today, afterall, it had been a hard week at school and Fridays were made for fun!

The only problem was that she decided she wanted her boyfriend to tag along too; you wouldn't have minded in the slightest if that didn't mean that his best friend would also be joining you.

You hated Childe -that's what you've called him since elementary school, you thought it was funny and it stuck and soon everyone started calling him that too- his real name 'Ajax' quickly forgotten.

Even as kids you were never fond of him, he could get away with doing anything to you because "awh he's just teasing you because he likes you." Yeah, "likes me" my ass

You couldn't stand the guy, but you tried to act civil for the sake of your friend and her boyfriend. That was until you were forced onto a ferris wheel alone with Childe - each capsule only holding two people. You tried to argue that the two of them could get on and you and Childe would wander separately. But no. Apparently you didn't have a say in what you did anymore because you ended up in one of the small capsules alone with the one person you couldn't stand.

This was literally your nightmare, but of course things just had to go further downhill.

You froze completely when the ride broke down right as the two of you were on the very top. You looked down and silently prayed that you wouldn't somehow end up dead. But then you looked over at Childe and thought that death wouldn't be too bad.

He turned to face you, "Looks like we're stuck up here for a while, Sunshine."
