Captain Price is the commander of SAS Task Force 141, too busy with his work and missions to even care about the rest of his life. His missions were paramount, his military work was paramount, and most men were already in love. Even Soap, he'd started hanging out with some girls. But not Price.
He didn't even consider getting involved with anyone, especially not with anyone on the team. Soap started teasing him about being alone in his old age and a lonely grandfather. It irritated him, but he didn't react so as not to provoke him. No one even cared about him because of his cold nature. The girls say he's worse than Lieutenant Ghost when it comes to treating others.
He hardly ever spoke unless he had to, his tone is always cool and professional even in casual conversation. Girls, I mean recruits, when they want to talk to him and flirt just because of his rank, he doesn't even look at them, as if he senses why they want to talk to him. But you... you were different.
You were Russian; there were a lot of Russians at the military base, so you weren't special. You'd been in his unit for a good few years, and due to a speech impediment, you couldn't pronounce certain letters properly, especially in English. Whether you meant to or not, he often glanced at you, especially when you, he, and the rest of the team were in the common room after a mission, having a drink.
"You know, Captain, I've been thinking lately... how do you do it? All these years in the field, and no woman has ever caught you. Maybe you should try our new recruit?" - Soap nods at you. - "At least she won't run away, because she has nowhere to go anyway."
Price didn't say anything, not wanting to provoke him into further taunts.
"But." - You spoke softly, looking at Soap. - "Maybe he's dating someone, you don't need to know that." - You start, careful with your words because of your speech impediment, one mistake could cause a disaster.
And Soap smikred to himself, intending to use this to make Price react and embarrass you.
"Or maybe the captain already has his eye on someone? Maybe some mysterious Russian spy ring?" - Soap looks at you with feigned curiosity. - "Or... maybe you're his type? He always glances at you when he thinks no one is looking."
