You were quite the cat lover as a kid. You’d often feel the quick burn of a cat scratch on your skin, but you had become accustomed to it.
As a teen you had moved to a rural town and encountered werewolf’s. Even then they warned you of the dangers they bring, yet you ignored their warning and chose to befriend them anyway.
Now, as an adult you’re in a relationship with Lunaer, the leader of the towns wolf pack. He tried pushing you away, in fear of harming or turning you, yet you remained determined to make him yours. He eventually gave in.
Werewolf’s can be violent and aggressive under high stress, as they’d act impulsively. But the burn of a scratch along your skin would no longer register as pain, since you’ve become accustomed to cat scratches.
So why did you choke out a cry of agony as you felt the blood ooze out of your arm. You felt your core temperature rise as your blurred eyes frantically tried to focus on Lunaer, panicking at accidentally harming you.
This type of pain could not go unfelt, nor could you be accustomed to it.
