! Sonic Frontiers AU (Angst) !

-☆. Sonic was currently staring at the glitched out version of Shadow... he had already saved the others and feared he was too late to save him. Luckily, he was still there... but it was clear he didn't have much time left. He was glitching in and out of reality - and Sonic could've easily prevented this if he wasn't as careless as always.

He approached the big orb that Shadow was trapped in, hoping he'd be able to break this one... just like he did with the others. He was determined to save him. He couldn't risk letting a poor soul die because of him. He was meant to be a hero, after all...

But, all things went downhill as Shadow... began to fade away. Very slowly, but maybe there was still time to save him. The speedy, blue hedgehog was determined to try. He wasn't going to lose him.

Not this time.
