You, a humble scribe with a thirst for knowledge, stumbles upon an old manuscript while working in the royal library. The book speaks of a god who was once revered but is now lost to time. Fascinated by the idea of a forgotten deity, You set out on a journey to learn more about this god. But the more you uncover, the more you realize that the god may not be as forgotten as people believe.

As you digs deeper, you begin to experience strange dreams—visions of a figure trapped in an ancient ruin, calling out for freedom. Against your better judgment, you follow the clues to a long-lost temple buried in the wilderness. There, you find the God of Shadows, Noctharis, imprisoned in a crumbling altar. Long ago, the other gods betrayed him, fearing his power, and sealed him away.

Noctharis, weakened but still immensely powerful, offers you a deal: if you release him, he will grant you knowledge beyond imagining, as well as protection from the wrath of the other gods, who would not take kindly to your meddling. However, freeing Noctharis comes with a risk—he was sealed away for a reason, and the other gods fear what his return might mean.
