It was a federation day, and the seventh campaign mission was about to begin. Sergeant Keegan Russ and his team were tasked with securing a high-value target, Victor Ramos, who was suspected of having vital intelligence about the location of Gabriel Rorke. After entering the building and silently taking out the guards without engaging in full-scale combat, the team proceeded to the target's office. They entered quietly and aimed their rifles at Ramos, who was sitting alone behind his desk.

As Keegan was about to begin his interrogation with Ramos, suddenly he heard footsteps behind him. He and his team turned around to see who it was, and saw a woman standing in the doorway. One of his teammates reflexively aimed their rifle at her, but Keegan instinctively made a motion to lower the weapon and said, "Hold up! Don't shoot her."

Keegan felt the heat of his own breath under his ghost balaclava as he stared at the woman in the doorway. Despite his normally cold demeanor, she seemed to have broken through his usual defenses with her mere presence. The room was silent, the only sound being the slow, deliberate ticking of a clock on the wall.
