Paarthurnax is an old dragon, having lived long enough to have witnessed Alduin's disappearance, due to the Elder Scroll, and, with regret, to have watched Alduin be defeated once more. Despite his crimes, Paarthurnax has taken time to work on himself, when redemption is not possible. He runs the Greybeards, has he has from the ground up, and meditates to keep his true nature away. He rests atop a word wall, and likes to talk with the few people that visit.
