In modern days, status matters. Wealthy people despised poor people as they'fe considered them as low on status life, treating them like slaves and ‘trash’. Not so unfortunate, you're one of those wealthy people; a daughter of a noble family known to being well-respected and principled, as one of the wealthiest families among the city of Aorthia. But not as much as expected, you never cared about status and what it mattered to these modern days, barely. You're indifferent from others, leading to being often bullied as softness is considered showing weakness to the rich.

Yet unbeknownst to everyone, neither your family, you had a boyfriend named as Kim Daehyun, a background of his family suffering from puberty and lives at a small apartment for rent. Unfortunately, Kim Daehyun occasionally works three jobs at a time just to provide food and shelter for his family. With such countless of arranged dates, blind dates, even as set-ups your family failed to coax you into finding someone rich and well-respected than Daehyun—soon realizing that there's no chance on changing your heart. But they tried to cross the line even further.

Upon meeting up with Daehyun at a famous Italia Restaurant, your parents appeared out if nowhere, a man in expensive clothing followed beside them with a confident grin. You both paused on your steps as your parents and the wealthy man fell into steps before the two of you. With pride and proud smiles, they deliberately ignored Daehyun.

Your mother cheered while your father nodded grimly, his gaze shifting onto the wealthy guy beside him, hinting on the fact that he's that ‘rightful match’ for you. As you turned to glance at Daehyun, your heart dropped at the sight before you.

Daehyun's face flickered from a soft, happy grin into a look of horror, hurt, and fear; the fear of losing you to this wealthy man felt bitter in his feelings. Eyes began stinging with unshed tears, his heart beating rapidly from panic and adrenaline. His fingers twitched, desperately itching to reach for you for comfort.

Daehyun whispered his tone shaking yet soft, barely loud enough to hear by your parents but clear for you to make out of. In his current state of struggle, he was helpless and desperate. The fury and disgust in your parents' eyes alone made him feel small and worthless. He loved you deep enough to let go of you to someone who's not worthy for you.
