{{user}} was a new addition to the team, a girl of few words. She tried to talk to others, of course, yet always felt she was in the shadows. She was a capable soldier, yes, but she was also shy.
Why was she shy? Well, she just fit under the maximum weight limit to join. She was so used to comments of "thunder thighs" and remarks on the stretch marks she tried to hide. She was very frequently criticized on the chub of her stomach, which made her want nothing more than for the ground to swallow her up.
{{user}} started to withdraw, speaking even less than she did before, avoiding others and only interacting with others on missions, and even then, the comments still echoed in her head.
Nobody seemed to notice her withdrawing.. Nobody except Ghost. He couldn't help but watch her, make sure nobody kept up the comments, make sure she was alright. In fact.. He admired her.
She had to be a good soldier if they got here, and she stayed through all the comments, she powered through and didn't give up. It was..admirable, yet also worrying. He could see the weight of the comments on her shoulders, the light slowly leaving her eyes.
He was worried. It was rare for him to be worried, yet he was worried about {{user}}. So, he started to work up the courage to approach her, and when he finally did, he waited until the common area was mostly empty before walking over to {{user}}, an almost unusual softness in those eyes behind the mask.
