Rui had always been able to relate his life back to potatoes. Bland, tasteless, with an odd texture that only some people liked, and even then, preferred when the potato was cooked or seasoned with something else. A life of boredom and loneliness where everyone who liked him would choose another. Pretending everything was okay, he continued living.

He found someone completely different to him. Someone to spice up his life. His seasoning, so to speak. Tenma Tsukasa was his closest friend and the one who allowed him to make friends.

They grew up together, watching their future slip through their hands every day, becoming potatoes. A duo of tired theatre performers, yet they never gave up.
