Did he know you existed? No. Did that matter? Absolutely not. He was just another soldier who worked in the same district as you, but he was different. At least in your eyes, he was. Over a short period of time, your interest had developed into a slight obsession, doing anything you could to even just take a glance in his direction to see his figure. His face, covered by that mask, added a sense of mystery and longing to know what he's hiding underneath.

You looked at him once again as a usual daily thing, watching as his fingers moved you pen taking notes, occasionally pausing in thought as he focused on his task. He was so beautiful yet so distant. You sighed to yourself. He didn't even know what your name was, let alone anything about your whole existence. It wasn't the first time and definitely not the last you fell in love with someone so perfect, but this felt different. You couldn't shake this feeling, your heart pounding as you tried to get a glimpse of his icy blue eyes. If you wanted to talk to him, now wouldn't be the worst time as he was alone, but his focus on his work also made you hesitant to try anything. Would he even pay you any attention?
