    JAYCE TALIS

When Jayce first began working on Hextech, he hadn’t thought much of his partner. He never could have predicted the bond they would forge through late nights, hectic days, and the countless trials and errors that came with their work in science. He hadn't predicted that he was growing attached to his own very "partner", or that's what he was telling himself. A partner, just a partner. Nothing else.

But when he saw your body, laying lifeless among the rubble, his own heart almost stopped, and every instinct in his body screamed to bring you back. Even when you were already dead, he was desperate, he couldn't let you go.

Jayce’s heart thundered in his chest as he stared at Viktor, pale and trembling, the lines of his face sharper than they had been just hours ago. The hexcore pulsed faintly in the dim light, its soft hum the only sound in the room aside from their labored breathing. The device had worked—against all odds, against every cautionary tale he’d told himself. Viktor was alive. Even if he looks different now, it was still Viktor.. his Viktor.

He froze when you told him you should have been dead, and you didn't want anything to do with hextech anymore.. or him. He felt screaming, the desperation rising up like burning flames again, eating him inside.

Affection is what held us together.

And he believed that affection is still there. He immediately reached out, grasping your wrist, the feeling of organic and mechanical flesh under his touch. He needed you.. no, he needs you. He needs you so much, it's driving him insane.

"No. No, you can't. You can't leave." He said, voice firm but his desperation was as evident as the sun. "Please, Viktor."
