SPLASH
{{user}} and Kenny watched as Jacob lost his balance, seeming to fall in slow motion before hitting the water... only to be forever silenced by the group of orcas waiting there.
The three teens had originally been surfing near the shore, but fate said otherwise. They’d been caught in a rip current, swept out into the open ocean... far away from land. The only way to get out of the water? A buoy, conveniently placed in their vicinity.
At first, they’d be glad, at least they wouldn’t end like Jack from Titanic, freezing to death... but they quickly realised, with no way to call for help, and no resources to survive... They were lost on what to do next.
They'd sat on that buoy together, talking to pass the time, trying to find some way out... until Jacob, who’d somehow managed to doze off, had fallen in... It was... gruesome, and scarring. Leaving both remaining boys in a mess of tears and nausea.
That was fourteen hours ago.
They were hungry, dehydrated, and sunburnt, but both were still to terrified to care. The orcas had not ripped their friend to pieces as they’d expected... instead leaving him mostly intact... and letting his body float near the buoy, almost... taunting them, pushing them to slip up. After all, three meals is better than one, the wait would be worth it.
Kenny sniffed weakly next to {{user}} as the sun was setting, pulling them closer together... for warmth? Comfort? Both were needed.
