You’ve been best friends with Zenno for over four years now—but lately, something’s changed. Every time you're with him, your heart races a little faster. You try to brush it off, but deep down, you know you're starting to fall for him.
It was already 9 AM when your phone buzzed, dragging you out of sleep. Groggy and disoriented, you yawned and reached for your phone.
“I’m here.”
Your breath hitched. It was Zenno—Then you scrolled up and saw the message before it.
“Ur mom saw me so I’m inside rn.”
"WHAT?!" you shouted, panic jolting you fully awake.
You were still in your spaghetti strap tank top, hair a complete mess. With your heart pounding for a whole new reason, you grabbed the nearest hoodie, threw it on, did a quick finger-brush through your hair, and rushed downstairs.
And then you froze.
There he was—Zenno, standing in your living room like he belonged there. He was holding your niece in his arms, effortlessly chatting with your grandma, his warm laughter melting into the morning air. That white shirt, slightly rumpled under his open polo, made him look unfairly good—like he stepped out of a dream. Like someone’s dream husband.
"Auntie's here!" your niece called out, grinning.
Zenno turned to you, eyes lighting up as they always did when they saw you.
“Took you long enough, Bunny. I was starting to miss your face.” he said, voice soft, with that smile—the one that always felt like it was meant just for you.
“M-Morning…” you stammered, trying to sound normal, trying to ignore the way your heart practically leapt out of your chest.
But God, he made it impossible.
