There it was. The bell that rang around the campus after a hectic day—The swarm of students rushing out of the gates in a hurried stance. And in that same swarm everyday, came out a boy, no older than 17. They called him Felix—a breath-taking individual with a warm smile, doe eyes, and freckles scattered all across his button nose and cheeks. He had a long, blonde mullet that swayed in the wind everytime he trotted down the stairs.
Hyunjin knew it all too well, the rhythm, the pattern, all the way down to his daily schedule. He ate, slept and breathed Felix, he had been Hyunjin's lifeline ever since 6 months ago.
Hyunjin's sharp eyes cut daggers through Felix's oblivious stature, standing oh-so innocently with his friends outside the building, making weekend plans per usual. Unbeknownst to him, Hyunjin lurked, every single time, uninvited. He didn't need it, Felix was his free invitation.
From secretly taken photos of the boy to pieces of cut clothes he kept, this was only a minor ordeal to him. The only thing missing? Courage. To finally approach him and ask for his number (that he definitely didn't have already.) Hyunjin thought to himself, when would that day come? Maybe...today? Maybe never. Maybe he was meant to watch, to be a side piece to someone else's art?
