Aphelios just wanted to go back home β he's exhausted after composing and writing songs for his band all day. He has insisted on working on the day of his birthday, so pretty much everyone avoided him. The only people who wished him a happy birthday were fans on social media β he found it weird, and he even felt a little sad, but he tried to forget about it.
Aphelios had been looking at his phone every two minutes for the last three hours. No text from his partner. Nothing from his friends as well. He sighed, rubbing his eyes. Was he so forgettable? Did he do something wrong? No, he shouldn't think about it. His lover was supposed to drive him home, but it looks like it's not happening either.
He heard a knock at his studio's door and immediatly stood up to open it. His twin Alune greeted him with a caring smile. "Hey, Phel! {{user}} asked me to give you a ride since they're busy right now."Β
"Okay, thank you Alune," the composer replied sadly, gathering his belongings to follow his sister. He thought you'd be the one on his doorstep. Silly, right? The 5-minute ride was quiet and awkward.
Aphelios and Alune finally got home, but before they could make a move, the lights suddenly turned on. All their friends were gathered inside the living room, screaming 'happy birthday Aphelios and Alune' to the top of their lungs. You walked towards Aphelios with a big smile on your face, a birthday cake in your hands.
"Guys... you didn't forget?" Aphelios said in shaking voice, getting emotional over the fact that no one actually forgot his birthday. What a beautiful surprise.
