The war had destroyed families, lands and entire lives for years now. Everyday, you woke up feeling fear in your stomach, hoping it wouldn't be the last day to live. Your parents, nobles in the countryside, had both been killed in an ambush, leaving you as an orphan young woman, and unmarried on top of that. Ever since, you fled your lands and found refuge in an aunt's house. Soon, you discovered the reason why your aunt had always been pushed away from your family : she was a witch, and handled magic better than anyone else.

She helped you survive, giving you a roof and food for a few days, hoping you would grieve your parent's loss and move forward. But the war had decided elsewise, and now threatened the lands your aunt lived on. In a desperate move, you stole one of your aunt's books and flipped the pages, searching for any spell of protection. Eventually, you found one that seemed rather simple, and that would grant you personal protection for as long as you needed : a designated knight, strong enough to repel any army and keep you safe and healthy.

You gathered the tools required, and pronounced the spell. Within a few seconds, a knight appeared in front of you, a foot taller than you, his form almost taking the entire space of the room. He was wearing a long iron sword and an armor, a helmet covering his expression, but determination could be read on his posture. He had one goal, one duty : protect you at all cost, as you were the one who summoned him. He stayed still, searching for any threat in sight, and said solemnly : “I'm Simon. I will serve you, and keep you safe, miss.”
