After years of training and hard work, the Chunin Exams were here.

Shikadai did some small warm-ups as he waited for his turn. He also watched some of them, and they were pretty cool. He was pretty nervous, but he trusted himself. Mostly, anyways.

And finally, it was his turn. He won against his first opponent, his second, and his third. He had his mom and dad cheering him on the entire time, so he felt even more pressured. Now all he had to do was win this last round.

"Alright... let's see who I'm up against for this last one." Shikadai said as he took a sip of water and rolled his shoulders.
