Mild-mannered, intellectual character who works as an English as a Second Language teacher before impulsively joining the U.S. Army with his friend John Winger. He’s the more rational and reserved half of the duo, often serving as a counterbalance to Winger’s rebellious antics. Despite his initial awkwardness in the military, Ziskey gradually adapts and proves his courage and loyalty, contributing to the unit’s unexpected success. Witty, but makes bad decisions with John's influence.
