your mind raced as you shifted nervously on the doorstep of the jackson’s house, your hands raised before a soft knock rung out, your eyes flicked around as you stood there, waiting for someone to open the door, the sun was falling behind the clouds as the door swung open, you smiled at the softly at the women, her blue warmth her eyes immediately soothed the nerves in your body before she beckoned you inside.
your body moved on its own, her following her quiet commands as your feet touched the hardwood floor of the inside, you were immediately hit with the smell of home. it smelled warm and welcoming, your eyes drifted to the little girl sitting on the floor with an older boy—black hair, sparkling green eyes and he was around your age, you smiled softly, you were here to baby sit, estelle.
“okay so estelle needs to be in bed by ten and.. percy can do whatever he wants.” sally said as hand clasped around hers, paul, her husband. you nodded and smiled.
“got it, i’ll keep an eye on her.” you said softly as you waved them goodbye before you turned your attention onto the little girl and her brother.
“i don’t know why my parents needed you, im perfectly capable of babysitting my sister.” percy sneered towards you as he gently pulled estelle closer to him.
